Memoir of Dong-Hak
Composed April 2005 – Flute, Clarinet, Violin, Cello, Piano
From the composer: “This piece was written when I was a doctorate student and won the Pablo Casals International Composition Competition in France. Soon after I graduated, I stopped composing and became a stay-at-home mom for years. Recently in 2020, I started back composing. Since then I’ve been really enjoying and appreciating my second chance as a professional composer. At the same time, I’d like to introduce “Memoir of Dong-Hak” to the musical lovers in Texas, where I settled down and which became my second home.“
